It’s been so amazing to see readers and artists making their own contributions to War Bunny World! Here are some images that I’ve received.
This hand-painted watercolor of the War Bunny cover art by Lorena LeBlanc was sent to me by her daughter, Chantal Comeau. They live in Canada, and Chantal went on to become a beta reader. She now helps me correct the French the coyotes speak so it sounds more Quebecois.
Chantals’ brother, Réal LeBlanc, created this evocative digital art. It’s marvelous to see the floral cover bunny come to life this way. : )
Reader Caitlin Throckmorton created this image of War Bunny’s fierce protagonist, Anastasia, using Midjourney. It’s quite an ingenious take on armor flexible enough for a bunny to move in!
Reader Catherine M. used Photoshop to put together this hilarious fan art for Death Rage, the fiercest mouse in the whole world. And note the fine attention to detail: the Canada Dry bottlecap helmet is proudly in place.
Maja Camp did this lovely acrylic of Anastasia in her bramble garden. I love the detail of the roses matching her golden eyes.
Reader Cypress Lai used DreamStudio and Photoshop to create this striking image of Micah Summerday, War Leader of the golden wolves of the Summerday Clan. This is the first time I ever saw what his turqoise eyes would actually look like in situ. Wowzers!
Jacinda Ortega’s image of Anastasia in her bramble garden was created with NightCafe. Her golden eye just pierces the viewer, capturing all of Anastasia’s ever-vigilant nervous energy. I’m so delighted to live in an era when readers have the tools to make their own statements about what characters look like!
And here is Jacinda’s rendering of Wellbutrin and Lorazepam in their apple orchard. She does a great job of capturing the humorous vibe of this raccoon power couple in the Millon Acre Wood dirty apple trade.
Street artist Hilmi Kiyana created his own take on Anastasia using Illustrator. It’s fun to see her sylvan environment rendered through this anarchic urban vibe.
