“I didn’t expect how much it would make me feel” Bookstagrammer on War Bunny

Bookstagrammer Ameliaveganreader recently took a look at War Bunny and shared this review with her followers. Thanks, Amelia!

“I knew even before I started this book that I would love it, but what I didn’t expect was how much it would make me feel while reading.

Imagine a world without humans, and animal kingdom is divided, some are hunted and some are hunters, and they all talk and have a new religion. It was so interesting to find out how all these animals lived by the their own rules, how they shared knowledge and resources.

It is a very unusual book, it’s definitely deeper than one might see at first, I honestly feel like rereading will help appreciate it even more. Anastasia, this brave and amazing bunny, she quickly became my favourite, until the end she was so beautiful inside and out, her kindness, everything she did seemed relatable to me. Well maybe except her belief in their own god. But it didn’t change my love for her.

There’s death, there’s sacrifices, there’s humour and lots of kindness. Not every animal is kind, and most of them think they are entitled to someone else’s life. I would love to find out more about humanity going extinct, there was a little explanation about it, and I know there’ll be more in the next book.

I was in a strange mood and didn’t know what I wanted to read, so I picked War Bunny since I had been wanting to get to it for a long time and turns out I was in mood for talking animals living in a world without humans. 🥰” – Ameliaveganreader
